The BullThing gives the fans a helluva show

The Bull Thing… an event/fair in a small Montana town of Eureka, 15km south of the Canadian border attracts thousands of locals, visitors from neighbouring states and north of the border every year.  This event, unlike the famous Calgary Stampede features bull-riding and bull-riding only.  Over 60-Everyone gets great seats at The BullThingattempted-and-some-successful bull rides are witnessed by the enthusiastic crowd.  Fair food aplenty, beer that can only be purchased by a six-pack for $10 and you’re heading for a good time.  Unlike last year, when the weather was not cooperating with the event and sub 10C temperatures and rain spoiled the fun, this year, the plus 30C and cloudless sky was on the menu.  You couldn’t have asked for a better night.

The event didn’t disappoint. From rodeo clowns being tossed 15 feet in the air to the “ring of fear”

where four brave/stupid young males faced off against an angry bull, it was a fantastic night.  Since apparently a picture is worth a thousand words and its late and I’m going to bed, here are a few pictures from the event.  What you better do though, is book this weekend off next year and come see for yourself.  You won’t be sorry.

It was a great night – we got in a little earlier this year and got seats closer but I think the dusty hillside seats are just as good! Wasn’t the Ring of Fire amazing this year! We watched the first part over and over again on Youtube just to see it. :) true Montana style bull riding!
